Is digital car key secure?

Digital car key offers enhanced security compared to key fobs, which are vulnerable to relay attacks. This is because digital car key uses a combination of Bluetooth and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, or NFC technology, to create a more secure connection between the car and the user's phone. Digital car key isn’t just an app. Its information is securely stored in the hardware of the user’s device. This ensures that it’s safe from tampering and gives you control over who has access to your digital car key. You can also remotely suspend or delete digital car key if it is lost or stolen, unlike lost key fobs which can be used to steal a vehicle.2 Additionally, there is an option to enable biometrics for added protection on specific features.
