If you forgot to tap in or out at any TfL station, don’t worry we've got you covered. Android Pay will notify you the following day that you have an incomplete journey so you can request a refund on the TfL website.

Tips For Travel

Always use the same method of payment

If you use both Android Pay and your contactless payment card to travel, they'll be treated as separate payment devices. You need to choose which one you want to pay with and use the same one for all your travel. Don’t forget to tap out!

How to use your phone for travel

When you touch your phone on a card reader, you should make sure that the phone screen is 'on' and touch the top half of your phone (where the antenna is) flat on the card reader.

Make sure you have enough battery

Your phone must be switched on to use it to travel. You should also check that you have enough battery on your phone to complete your journey.
